And whoa... Blake Baker might've snagged a gem with this one. He gives me serious Edgerrin Cooper vibes. I know people are focused on Ross, but Braker might be the one.

I think he was more saying sometimes it takes a year or two for players to get up to speed with all the calls & sometimes complex coverages. You see it all the time on every team.
I don't think he's at all saying JB isn't smart enough, it's just hard to make the leap from HS to SEC.

Hes a top 130 recruit for a reason. Uga and bama were throwing money at him before signing day. He gets keys to the defense in year 2 I think. Perkins and likely weeks departing
