This is just not true

Seems that every Drago's outpost is amazingly average.

I give it a few years and it will be closed.

At the time (February) it was not true. They were at the beginning stages of negotiations. Architects and Perkins Rowe didn’t believe the deal would get done. Concessions were made over the course of roughly three months that allowed for the deal to get done. Including the sale of Perkins Rowe. Having dealt with all parties involved in the past, nothing is truly final until the open the doors

The one on College was awful. Over priced mediocre food with very poor service

Only Drago's I'll eat at is the one in Metairie, which still has the best charbroiled oysters anywhere, imo. The other locations aren't up to par.

Yeah yeah yeah. Maybe you can use that egg on your face to make an omelette

Looks like they'll be open for breakfast also.

Breakfast? Wow. Didn't know they did breakfast.

When I lived in the NO area, I ate at a Drago's in Fat City at least once a month and loved it. You could see Tommy go out to every incoming truck and pick out what he wanted. I will still only go to the Metairie location.
The one downtown in the Hilton is the highest grossing restaurant in a Hilton in the US, it is just not very good my NO standards. I have also been to the ones in BR and Jackson, very disappointed.
Apparently, Tommy's appearance is what make Drago's click. BTW, his community service post-Katrina, deserves a statue.

Wow you seem like an angry pos. I guess that makes you perfect for this board. Go outside and get some fresh air, fella.

it should do well in that location but parking can be a hassle at Perkins Rowe at times

Just based off of what I've read through here and word of mouth, Drago's is only worth going in the NOLA region. I'll probably start supporting Chinese oysters now that the Mid-Barataria Diversion project got canned because of the oyster mafia.

Love their oysters. All the other dishes are an embarrassment to Cajun/Creole cooking.
So in my unprofessional opinion, simply a one trick pony. I'd rather just go to Don's or Chimes.
