Not sure if you can call a 5* recruit out of HS who ran a 4.3 an "Underdog" but he was royally fukked twice on the Heisman and many schools tried to recruit him as a Safety. But what the hell, he's one of the baddest dudes ever in the SEC.

In a thrilling announcement for college football fans and Razorback faithful, Netflix has confirmed the upcoming release of “The Underdog,” a deeply personal and highly anticipated documentary chronicling the life and career of Arkansas Razorbacks legend Darren McFadden. The documentary is slated for release on December 1st, commemorating the anniversary of McFadden’s unforgettable final game of the 2007 regular season—a performance that solidified his legacy as one of the greatest players in college football history.

Produced by Netflix Sports in collaboration with former Razorbacks and SEC insiders, “The Underdog” offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at McFadden’s journey from Little Rock’s Hall High School to the roaring stadiums of the SEC—and eventually, to the NFL. The film draws on never-before-seen footage, personal interviews, and reflections from former teammates, coaches, family members, and rivals.

Viewers can expect insight into McFadden’s most iconic performances, such as his 321-yard game against South Carolina and the legendary triple-overtime victory over LSU in 2007. But just as important are the quieter, more human moments: his upbringing in a tough neighborhood, his experiences with fame and pressure as a young star, and the injuries and personal battles that tested his resolve.

They didn’t give it to him as a sophomore because a soph had never won it, then they gave it to a sophomore the very next year. Haven’t respected the Heisman since then.

Netflix scraping the bottom of the barrel if they're making a Darren McFadden doc.

Obligatory fuk Steve Spurrier as well...who intentionally left McFadden off his Heisman ballot completely after this:

Tore my heart out that November afternoon in 2007.

I remember the walk out the stadium was so quiet because at that point, we were out of it for a national title.

24 hrs later we were back in the discussion after a wild weekend.

The Darren McFadden Felix Jones one two punch were two of my all time favorite non Tigers to ever watch in CFB. McFadden was unreal.

Still can't believe WV blew that Backyard Brawl game.

Never realized until recently that Pat McAfee was the one who missed all the kicks in that game that cost them a trip to the National Title game. Absolutely brutal.

Your first sentence was the first thing that came to mind for me too probably could’ve come up with something better than “The Underdog” for one of the most popular SEC running backs of all time who was also a very well known 5* coming out of high school and a physical freak. Pretty sure no one I knew doubted Darren fricking McFadden of all players

Still can't believe UW beat them in the Capital One Bowl in 2007. I remember it being a brutal game to watch.

We still would have won the Arkansas game if Danny Mcrae had covered that TE.

McFadden is one of the few guys that dominated against every team he's played against yet remains widely liked by opponent fans

He was the Raiders offense for a few years when they had no QB and no direction.

He was awesome in 2010.

I remember going to that game in TS in 2007. Stopping at the gas station before to load up on beer and see some people decked in Arkansas gear with his face airbrushed on it. I jokingly said "Damn ya'll some big McFadden fans huh?" The lady said "He's our son, so yea kinda." They were very nice and thought it was a cool encounter.
