Richardson, a former United States Marine Corps ground combat officer, went on to reference tactics like "obfuscation, delay, undermining," which he believed a fraction of FEMA staff might try to subvert his agenda. "If you're one of those 20% of the people and you think those tactics and techniques are going to help you, they will not, because I will run right over you. I will achieve the president's intent.”

He knows better. If he has an opinion, they'll fire his arse.

I don't think he's the type to hand out participation trophies.

I liken this guy.
Seems like he comes from the “Tom HOMAN Coaching Tree”
He’s a FAFO type of Baw that won’t bend to the fruitcakes on the left

So the job gets done either way. Perfect.

If it gets the job done of turning FEMA into lean efficient machine that can make decisions quickly and efficiently and gets rid of disastrous policies like Risk Rating 2.0 and not use certain levees in risk calculations, I am all for it.
But if it is to keep the status quo of delays, saying no because your plan lacked a DEI strategy or until you quit asking or Congress gets involved, something needed to be changed there.

Always great when your new boss comes in to berate the staff. That's really good for office morale.

Those that do not like it can quit.

What a retard take. He is executing the demands of the country that elected the President and President Trumps agenda.
If you buy a dozen eggs and 2 are rotten, you throw the rotten ones out. You don’t throw them all together expecting to have edible eggs.

I’m sure morale was sky high under Biden’s regime of DEI training, DEI hires and screwing the American tax payer.

To be fair though, FEMA is a shithouse of an organization that needs radical change. The staff needs a wakeup call.

There was no “berating” I heard.
What he said was simply true and can be found in most any organization when a new boss takes over:
~10-20% - actively embrace and support change.
A majority middle - just want to do their jobs and will go with the flow.
~10-20% - choose to “fight” change because they don’t like the change.
He was simply stating he recognizes this dynamic, he’s there to do his job, and the 10-20 percent who plan on fighting him aren’t going to succeed.
Those people likely already know themselves who they are and they didn’t like hearing it …but approximately 80-90% either did like it or didn’t really care.

All of government needs a wake up call. I think he low balled the number of bureaucrats who will actively work against the president’s agenda. It’s more than 20%. But so be it. This too is what I voted for on 11/5/2024.

It actually is... high performing people cannot stand strap hangers and leaches... So, those employees worth a damn will welcome him and hope he trims the fat...
Your "touchy feely" attitude toward employees is much of the problem society has today...
