My description of Personal Injury Attorneys - the ones on TV and Billboards

Opportunistic con artists, with low moral values, who master the use of words and procedures, created by their own, to force the involuntary transfer of money for personal gain, but whom produce nothing of real value.
Feel free to add more and let’s see who is the first to say “everyone hates attorneys until you need one”. My response to this is that there are many good and honest attorneys who can do personal injury work, but they don’t have to be a scumbag.

Tell me the origins of why lawyers are allowed to charge 40% fees?
It is obscene and unethical, and then they have the nerve to say insurance companies make too much money.

The real issue is that our courts are the vessel by which this money transfer is accomplished. Public bodies funded by taxpayers.
If “limited government” conservatives really wanted to limit government, they would take the club out of the hands of the plaintiff bar and make them arbitrate everything.

Because their clients agree to it. Pretty simple, really.
Reality is that insurance companies prefer to settle, judges in Louisiana are elected morons, and juries are even dumber than the judges. That’s why you see those settlements and why rates are so high

You’re free to finance your own case and pay your lawyer an hourly rate as he invoices you.
