Looking for the best and fastest drying Super Glue. Something that works on plastic and can be used for first aid.

Drug store “ pharmaceutical” first aid glue does not work and I am not going to the ER.

When I cut my leg with a chainsaw I used these:

Walgreens link

The cut was not as bad as it sounds but definitely needed stitches which these took the place of. It was on my knee and they held perfectly.

ETA: I know it isn’t super glue. But I think they’re better than super glue.

Mix salt or baking soda and you’ll have quickly (within 5 sec) and harder drying superglue.

Be careful

The cheap arse single use things from Walmart are the best. Dries in a matter of seconds and you use it once and throw it away. It’s like $2 for 4 little tubes

those are pretty great for the deep cuts. I keep the zip tie variety in my first aid kit.

Yea I used Clozex wound closure on a cut one time and it worked really well. Have used regular crazy glue also and it worked but damn it burns.

Try this. …. I keep it in my kit, along with butterfly closures and a suture kit.

That's what I use. The vet glue is pretty dang strong. I usually glue the cut closed, then put steri strips, then glue the steri strips to the skin. It'll hold through a hurricane.

Good thread. As someone who did this for a living for many years, I have one comment.

If you are going to field close a wound like that, be damn sure you clean and disinfect it first. If you close up some foreign debris in there, you are in for a not fun experience once the infection starts. And don't do this with a dog bite. They are nasty and will need to be cleaned more than once. We never closed those.

Have them now. The chaps stay in the truck now.

I keep a quick clot bandage thing in my woodshop and in my plate carrier.

I really like Boss Dog super glue and the activator spray. Really good stuff. I use it for quick glue ups like a crosscut sled to miter runners.

Their wood glue is nice also. Replaced using Titebond with it.
