I gave him shite early in the year when our guys were getting shelled with 2 strikes. It's apparent now that he's pretty damn good at his job and has our best pitchers pitching their best right now. Kudos to him for developing these guys.

Without him, we don't have a lot of SEC wins with as bad as our hitting was for a long stretch.

Develop some bullpen guys and I’ll start giving him credit. For now it seems like he only knows how to coach guys who are already studs.

Don’t you know? Our fans expect all of our pitchers to have an ERA of under 1.00. Anything over that is a complete failure.

Never understood the Yeskie hate. The two strike hits are usually a matter of kids just missing spots, not executing pitch calling. No matter how much you work with kids, tweak mechanics you can’t go out on the bump and hit spots for them

Anderson made a big jump from last year. Eyanson has improved a lot since the beginning of the season. Shores has not been what we had expected but that’s probably on him. Things are coming together with the bullpen. We probably get a top 8 seed for the tournament. If we can get more consistent on offense we will be in good shape. SEC is just brutal this year.

If we win today, we'll probably be a top 4 seed.

And if we win an additional game in the tournament we could end up a top 2 seed.

Because you don’t know shite

You misplaced your childish anger when things didn’t go right. You needed someone to blame so you blamed the pitching coach for whatever reason

Now things are falling back into place. Do you think that after all these years, Yeskie finally figured out something? Orrr maybe yall just needed to be patient, or maybe just understand that sometimes weird shite happens in baseball and a coach doesn’t need to be fired everytime something happens

He still doesn't have a bullpen, but whatever tweaked he made with Eyanson has definitely changed the trajectory of this season.

My biggest issue of late is we get ahead in count then waste a pitch or 2 that are not close to the strike zone. Then we go down 3-2 and give up a walk. I know it’s execution but at times our catcher sets up a foot off the plate, wth?

That’s because you’re just a stupid as an idiot above posting about the bullpen. Do you actually believe he is calling for them to miss by 2’? That’s not what he’s calling at all. It’s just their command is not that great. And in fact, command is a lost art overall even in the major leagues according toBen McDonald. He made a comment the other night how big league pitchers are missing a foot or more from the spot.
What you’re calling a wasted pitch is supposed to be competitive but the command, or lack thereof, of the pitcher is why it is 2’ off.
My observation with the bull pen is they are all throwing max effort and trying to create extra high spin which they cannot control instead of learning to master and command a change.
Most of them need 2-3 pitches they can command and they would be awesome. Instead they try to throw 5 pitches and only 1 is good.

Command a 85 mph change, a 90 mph slider and a 95 mph fastball and you’re an AA.
