One of my lead troll motor batteries has died and I am in the market for a 24V lithium replacement. Most of the ones on amazon get pretty good reviews, so I am leaning that way. My question is, what amp HR do you guys recommend. Its for a 80lb Minn Kota on a 22' boat. Yes, i know normally get as large as you can, but I am somewhat limited on space and usually don't fish more than a day without being back to a charger. bonus for recommendations on a brand of battery. Thanks

100 AH regardless of brand.

I would look at the following 3 brands and get the one with the best price. I recently bought a set of Litimes after some internet and YouTube research. I wanted Bluetooth capabilities but if you don’t need that you can get them a little cheaper. Also consider a charger as you have to have a charger rated for lithiums.

Also just charged mine for the first time since I bought them. Was after 4 fishing trips. Still had 53% battery life.

I bought the Power Queen Mini's and have been very happy with them. 100AH in a small package and they work.

Very very happy with the LiTime 150ah for my trolling motor. I didn’t think I would care for the Bluetooth stuff but it’s pretty cool to check the exact level of charge you have left after a day of fishing. Also went with the low temp ones (self heating). You don’t think you will ever have to charge your batteries below 32 degrees until you do.

I have three for my trolling motor and have ran it for three days straight and still have 85 percent life

You may even be able to get by with a mini for your boat. Much smaller and weighs nothing

I went with a single 24V Ionic instead of the 2 12V. I use the other tray for electronics battery. I have an 80lb Terrova, I've been fishing several times and it's still over 75%. I'm not sure how they do with the cold, I've read mixed reviews. I'm just planning on bringing them in when it gets down to 0. Which isn't a big deal with their light weight.

I researched a lot of bass forums to see what the tourney anglers were using before buying. Those guys are on the trolling motor all day. Consensus was that 50AH is plenty for a day or even two. I have two 12v50AH IONIC lithium batteries on my 19ft bay boat. Plenty of juice. If I am staying at a camp and fishing more than two days in a row I just bring some extension cords with me. Can almost always find an outlet by a dock or camp that you can reach. They recharge really quickly.

I run 3 50ah ionics for my Garmin force. Average use is about 20-25% of the battery for a full day. One trip I was spot locked for about 5 hours straight in a 35-40 mph wind on the MRGO. I still had over 30% of battery left after the troller basically ran close to wide open for 5 hours.

I recently bought 2 of these for a 19 ft bass boat 80lb TM. Only used once but good so for. It’s a great price and has really good reviews. There’s a Utube video of a guy that takes one of these apart showing all the components and they really look to be a solid battery.

I have two 50ah ionics. Same capacity as two 100ah lead acid that I had before. 16 pounds each. Had to change my onboard charger though. The ionics are great. Good customer service and warranty.

Here’s 2kWh for $100.
Just have to fit the 12 smaller packs together and get a 8s LiFePO4 charger.

My boat is only 19', but I get 4 trips or so before I charge, and even then, I have never seen them below 40%. Two Amped Outdoors 60AH batteries on a 24 volt TM.

I got two 100 ah 12v. Figured if something happens to the house battery I could use one of these in a pinch.

Got two litime , 100ah 12v for my 48 volt trolling motor; and didn’t get the 31 series, much smaller series which opened up quite a bit of room. Found out there wasn’t any difference, as far as performance, as there was just more insulation in the 31 series. Have been very impressed, no issues. Two batteries for less than $400 combined, which is hundreds less than my AGM’s.. now, let’s see if they last 10 years

I use three Lithium LifePo4 batteries with Bluetooth in my boat. I like being able to use my phone to check how much they are charged.
