They say there are 50K fed-only voters registered in AZ. I wonder how many of them DHS can establish as illegal. Would be pretty interesting if it's a significant number.

Federal law does not allow the state (any state) to require proof of citizenship or frick all as far as documentation of any type goes to register to vote in federal elections.

What about their due process?
Just because they broke the law entering the US doesn't mean they don't have constitutional rights, including the right to vote in any election. I'm sure Governor Hobbs will get this miscarriage of justice straightened out.

Was actually mostly Republicans. Supreme court struck down an Arizona law in 2013 that required everybody to provide proof of citizenship to register to vote in state or federal elections in AZ. Supreme court struck it down 7-2 with Thomas and Alito the dissenters and disappointingly, Scalia voted with the majority and wrote for the majority.

I think it's becoming quite clear a lot of what ails the constitutional republic is activist judges, primarily on the left.

If there is one thing that all American should be able to agree on, is the fact that non-citizens should never, ever have a voice in deciding who represents CITIZENS in our government!

To be clear about something - there are 49 other states that have the same problem AZ is addressing here.
