Leaving Friday and coming back Tuesday. Planning to play 4 rounds. 36 Saturday, 18 Sunday, and 18 Monday.
As of now planning Kiva Dunes, Peninsula, Craft Farms Cotton Creek, and Lost Key.
Any courses I’m leaving out that I should play?

Lost Key isn’t worth it.

Gulf Shores used to be good filler course for trips down there but they have way overpriced themselves

Good list.
There used to be a links style course up Hwy 59 by the outlet mall on the East side of the road. Anyone remember that?

I really don't understand the hate for Lost Key, there are some fun holes on the course. There are some tough ones that eat you ball if you aren't straight but we play it every time we're in the area.

Where are you staying?
I think, ultimately, the exact course isn't as important as finding one that fits the best schedule / proximity.
If you're staying down 182 then I say make the third course GulF Shores Golf Club OR you can book two back to back rounds at Peninsula on different days but the same times and get to play two different layouts. With 27 holes you would only repeat 9 holes on consecutive days.
Conceivably, if staying down near Ft Morgan you could do something like a morning round Peninsula and a twilight round at Gulf Shores Golf Club. Then, the next morning play Peninsula again for a different layout.
Then, the last day play Kiva Dunes and avoid driving up towards Foley completely.
If you play Gulf Shores Golf Club, Kiva and Peninsula, id prefer just staying down there than driving up near Foley to play Craft Farms but no real issue with subbing Gulf Shores Golf Club for Cotton Creek.

High handicappers love complaining about Lost Key

Playing both Craft Farms courses if playing 36 in one day would be the most convenient

Agree. I have a condo right by there and I enjoy it and I'm a 17. Sure you may lose a few extra balls, but its quiet, the greens are always in great shape, and the people are great. Actually ran into Bubba Watson out there last year.

It’s not that. It honestly was in terrible shape compared to area courses when I played there 2 summers ago. Cart girls were also basically nonexistent and the one time one came by all the drinks were hot because they had no ice. Maybe I caught them at a bad time, but add that to it being an objectively funky layout and it makes it not that attractive to me.
