In this brave new world of $30-40 million rosters and a coach making over 10 mil a year, the playoff should be the expectation every year or otherwise what's the point? Though some may be, most aren't giving up their hard earned money for 9-3, a middling bowl and a bunch of excuses or more blame being thrown Orgerons way.

With that safety committing, I think this sets up our defense.

If nuss learns to tuck the ball and run for some 3rd and shorts… he will shine

Nuss has been here since Kelly arrived this is the year. Kelly put up his own money and we signed the best transfer portal guys no more excuses. I am no settling for a 9 win shitty bowl game season.

Yes. Good roster moves in off season.

Honestly, I am just concerned about Clemson with Kelly’s first game experience while at LSU.

The word “or” was used.

I personally believe we get in at 9-3.

What if Nuss and and Van Buren get hurt within the first month of the year. 3rd string QB leads us to 9-3 record?

I'm just saying it's best not to live in absolutes. It's sports anything can happen.

Something is wrong if they don’t. Would probably have to go 8-4 to miss the playoff. If LSU goes 8-4 with this talent, I think most rational people would question if a coaching change is needed.

I think this is the best roster Kelly has had here in terms of overall depth of talent on both sides of the ball and honestly I don't think it's really even close.

What we've fielded on defense the past 3 years has been well below the standard we should ever expect at LSU.

Now as head coach, that's on Kelly....there are reasons, some not all his fault but bottom line it's still not excusable.

But he has the talent this year as in his own words to "compete with anyone in the SEC" and I agree with that. Show me what you got coach!!

If we’re not in the Final Four I will emotionally move on from Brian Kelly.
He’s spoken too emphatically in the past and hasn’t produced and I’ve given him the benefit of the doubt

I expect the defense to be much improved. They have depth and talent this season. The most they've had since Kelly has been here and a good D staff coaching them.

Offense has good talent and depth, especially at WR and TE. OL has talent, but little experience. This team will be good or great depending on how the OL gels and develops over the course of the season. If they play well and we get a consistent run game, we should be able to compete with anyone.

Playoffs? How about focusing on upsetting Clemson in opening game. Nothing else matters at this point.

Absolute failure to not make the playoff. I am expecting a deep run myself.
