Week in review:
- Took 2 out of 3 vs Detroit
- A surplus of timely hits in that series
- Blubaugh's debut really couldn't have gone worse. 4IP, 7ER all of which came off of HRs
- Had many opportunities for a comeback but ultimately left 12 on base and hit 2-10 with RISP
- White Sox series was fricking abysmal
- Framber and Hunter Brown going against the 2nd worst team in the MLB and you find a way to lose 2 out of 3. Truly remarkable. We account for 10% of the CWS victory total for the season
- Jake Meyers had the game of his life. 4-4 2HR, 7 RBI, 3B, 2B. Without him, the Astros get swept
- LMJ made his debut yesterday and it was bumpy. Minimal control, handful of walks/HBP. He did manage to get himself out of jams that he got himself into, but he has a long way to go
- Gusto and Okert can't protect a 4-run lead against the goddamn White Sox. What an embarrassment that is
Wahoocs said it best yesterday: When you need Jake Meyers to have 13 TBs and throw Framber and Brown in a series versus the present White Sox team and lose 2 out of 3, I don’t think serious contention is on your radar
Looking ahead:
3 @ Brewers
Off day Thursday
3 vs Reds (note the Reds have swept the last 3 series vs us dating back to 2019. The Reds did not make the playoffs in any of those years either)

quote:Hopefully that was the kick in the arse they need. Its so frustrating how this team just seems to not give a shite about baseball for long stretches of the regular season then have to play catchup at the tail end.

Crane needs to be included in that group. Fires a GM after a championship but refuses to do anything to try and fix the abysmal hitting and plate approach that have plagued this team for going on three years now. See the Mariners offense so far this year for an example of what can happen when you dare to make a big move. Rangers fired their hitting coach yesterday too.
Just no sense of urgency with this group. Mentioned in a post last night, they act like this is some murderers row of hitters that just haven’t come together yet.

Yed to the 10-day IL. What’s the DAT’s o/u for time missed since we know our front office/training staff cannot be trusted

Just yesterday Espada says “we don’t anticipate him needing any imaging” I hate managers/coaches all of them in every sport are so full of BS

3 weeks minimum
Lying liars
I read somewhere that if he had to go on IL, it would be the 6th time for this particular ailment?

I know this isn’t a situation where Cesar Salazar was called up to fill the DH/LF spots Yordan normally fills. But that is one depressing roster exchange when you look at it, even with Yordan not being up to Yordan standards this year.

Had a chance to catch a game in Milwaukee a few years ago. Parking situation is weird but the ballpark was beautiful. I’m still not right from the cheese curds. I’m pretty sure they stayed in my intestines and started a cult and have been recruiting other bad foods since then and periodically conduct surprise attacks. Also my son got a foul ball.

The Dubon era continues. He’s a guy you could see remaining a stalwart member of the every day lineup for a decade or more.

I have little to no motivation to watch this team after the White Sox series. Yet here I am. Ready to bitch up a storm

Preach brother, I feel your frustration.
