That’s great news. I hope he is as advertised, wish he was a little bigger tho if he’s going to play safety. Would like to see 6-2 220 something in that range

Calm it down...alot of work for these Tigers lie ahead. Week 1 vs clemson in hostile territory will see if we got Dawgs or poodles

LSU’s schedule sets up pretty well next season. There isn’t a surefire loss on schedule. LSU is going no worse than 10-2 next season. If LSU losses to Clemson they could very well reel off 11 straight wins. Gut tells me they go 11-1 and drop the Clemson or Bama game on the road. This is as stacked of a team as we have had since 2019.

Totally agree man; though 6’5”, 290 would be preferred because nobody 6’, 200 lbs can even hit.

He's literally the size of Eric Reid. You want him to be an inch taller and 6 lbs heavier? Why?

No not at the safety position. That’s too big. Won’t be mobile enough

Biggest question for a successful run at a NC. Regardless of who we sign outside the OL. The defense should be better, If we cannot pass block or run the ball this all does not mean a thing. The biggest question is the OL for LSU.

OFFENSIVE LINE?

You could have said the EXACT same thing ahead of last season. Maybe moreso than this year with a neutral sit game vs. USC, and almost all of the (on paper) tough SEC games (Ole Miss, Alabama, Oklahoma) at home. The road games (Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina) were thought to be very winnable with A&M being a toss up with them having a new HC.

There are rarely any "surefire" losses on any LSU schedule, I don't think this schedule sets up particularly well. LSU has lost 5 straight season openers, and I think you could say this is the toughest one they've had in a long time given it is a true road game vs. what is expected to be a top 10 team. Trips to OM and Alabama won't be easy...even if they may be "down" from last year. Vandy has Pavia back, and we saw what they were able to do at home last year. At Oklahoma to end the season won't be easy.

IMO, just like last year, the opener is the fulcrum game. If LSU can win that one, I think that will allow enough margin for error to reach the CFP. It's reasonable to think LSU can attain a 6-2 SEC record. Lose the opener, and LSU has only a 1 loss margin for error in SEC play. Last year only 1 (Texas) of 16 SEC teams lost fewer than 2 SEC games.

BK knows this is an all-in season. He knows he wasted Daniels, and he knows he may very well never get another 5th year starting QB with the ability of Nussmeier. He's not going to allow the defense to tank the season, and with these transfers he is doing everything possible to make sure LSU is running on (almost) all cylinders to start the season. No, "let's get some young guys in and build throughout the season." He has to have guys IMMEDIATELY ready to roll.

How did you arrive at this conclusion?

Like someone else said, he’s just about the same size as Eric Reid

What difference is 6 lbs gonna make? Please explain

Needs the height to help with covering larger recovers and TEs. The size for tackling but can’t be too big because needs to be able to cover lots of ground and be shifty left to right etc.

6-2 215-220 is perfect frame for what we need. He’s close to the weight and hopefully might grow another inch or 2

Have you not watched football for the last decade? Large safeties aren't really a thing anymore because they struggle to cover. most safeties are between 195-205 nowadays. Hell most Lbers in college football fall in the 220-230 range.
