Sec home teams. Thats 62.5%

Overall sec home teams are
107-85 for a 56% win rate.

Its hard to win on the road in this league.

Also, we are in the midst of a 3 week stretch where we are facing 3 of the top 7 starting rotations in the country. The bats arent going to just put up 8 runs a game against tennessee, texas am, and arkansas’ staffs. We’ll be better for this in a few weeks when the competition goes down

Unfortunately most people on this board have a room temperature IQ with the memory of a goldfish, so these posts are meaningless to them.

If we're not winning 5 titles in 10 years, the program is dying and the coach must be replaced.

Take out Missouri and South Carolina and it’s 58-26 (.690).

We lost with one of our best closer on the mound. Tip your cap and move on to the next.

That’s why is extremely important that we get a top 8 seed.

It is hard to win in this league period. That's why 20 wins is basically the benchmark in league play if you want to be a national seed. Think about that, to be regarded as one of the top 8 teams in the country, you are basically expected to lose a game every weekend in the SEC.

So we struggled against top pitching. This should make everyoke feel great about postseason.

All of this is true…

My concern is we haven’t looked competitive in a lot of at bats.

I do believe this team is very good, and will do well in postseason. We just have to get rolling at the right time.
And frankly, winning it all requires being really good, plus getting lucky a couple of times…. A bloop hit finding grass, capitalizing on an error…. Etc.

Is LSU going to face teams worse than 27-20 in the supers and Omaha?

Worse than teams with 3 series wins over Top 10 teams and 9-6 in the SEC over their last 5 series? Yes.

They will face worse teams in regionals, and maybe super regionals depending on opponent. You know that. By omaha, the margins just shrink down to who gets that big hit, or who makes the error. And zero games will be road games for lsu if we take care of business the next couple weekends.
Ive watched alot of baseball this season. 2023 lsu and 2024 tennessee doesnt exist. There are about 7-8 teams capable of winning this thing, and we’re one of them.

LSU won 3 road SEC series over top 25 teams in 2007.

Only 2 ended up ranked and neither in the Top 10. A&M started off the year terribly, but they have played as well as anyone over the last 5 weeks. It’s not at all comparable.

Regardless of all this good stuff on paper, anyone that doesn’t see that this team is currently missing an identity also has a room temperature IQ.

We have the guys, and they are right where we wanna be, but can we get the guys that we absolutely need to step up, show up and form some Leadership to get us another Trophy. Thats it.

But that’s also why we watch, cause we are always in this thing.

I mean it’s highly possible we face a team worse than A&M

I don’t think anyone is necessarily disagreeing with that other than to point out that every other team in the country has their own set of concerns. Texas lost their ace and one of their best hitters and that showed in getting swept by Arkansas. Arkansas may be the best team in the country, but they lost 3 series in a row, including at home to A&M. Georgia got swept twice on the road. Tennessee has lost 3 home series. Clemson is 1-5 the last two weekends after finally facing Top 25 competition on the road. Everyone has problems.

Absolutely or I would be a lot more concerned about where we are as a team.
The last couple weeks have humbled some really good teams, us included, to make them/us think just enough before postseason starts.

I just feel like some reason that our lynchpin is absolutely Milam, even as good a Curiel has been.
We get those two guys going at the same time and we can build around that and make a nice run.
