Killer indeed. In Eyanson's last three starts:
20.2 IP, 4 ER, 34 Ks

Been saying this all season. The guy has the attitude on the mound you need to be confident. If Schmidt can get his confidence and swagger he will be the #1 overall draft pick.

I recall early in the season when some posters were saying he didn't have SEC stuff.

i remember earlier in the year we weren't letting him work through trouble. those days are over ,I hope. he needs to throw 100 pitches a game at least ,unless he just completely loses the zone.

i don't think he should ever get pulled if he looks a little off early, because you know he will figure it out before the game gets out of hand

The confidence comes from being able to locate four pitches.

To be fair, he only got in trouble once last night. That’s how dominant he was.

I’ll settle for Schmidt being able to locate one pitch at this point. Bonus points if he gets the ball back after he throws it.

With that said, if Nate can do with him what he did with Anderson during the offseason then this pitching staff is going to be electric next season!

early in the season he would pitch well except like 1 inning

so his state line would be like 5 IP 4 hits 2 walks but 4 runs because they all came same inning and then he would be striking out the side the other 4

Very true. He’s learned to work through that much better. Didn’t have much trouble tonight but there’s been multiple SEC starts where he gets himself in trouble and then works his way out of it
