Rachael Corrie - US Woman Killed in Palestine

21 years after her death in Gaza, Palestinians remember U.S. activist Rachel Corrie
Pretty horrible story about a 23 year old US woman killed while protesting the destruction of homes in the Gaza Strip. In 2003, she was standing in front of a home in the Gaza Strip so that the Israeli soldier could not bulldoze it. The soldier literally drove over her and crushed her to death, as she and all witnesses were screaming for the soldier to stop. There is a chilling photo in the article that captures the moment before her death. There was no investigation and it was ruled an accident by Israeli courts.
Israelis place zero value on American lives, while our entire worldview is based around the memory of the Holocaust. It is the reason for the taboo around nationalism, naturally leading us toward globalism. 15 million Christians were killed over the same time period, so why is there no memory of them?

Teach your kids, when they are young, that they alone are responsible for their safety and not to stand in front of a moving vehicle no matter the cause.

Tons of MAGAs are about to post laughing emojis because the IDF killed an American. Then in the next post, they will say Palestinians all deserve to starve to death because Hamas killed Americans.

I read up on this story recently when 4cubbies dropped her name in some totally unrelated thread. You might want to read some unbiased accounts of what she was doing. For example, she climbed onto the dozer and fell off. This was confirmed by her comrades. And remember, this was in the middle of a declared war zone, essentially. But, continue believing whatever version of the story warms your labia.

Have you paid attention to the amount of Israel hate here?
Israel is more of a neocon position.
The Biden admin besides some political posturing was 100% on team Israel and not on team Hamas.
Israel is also not starving Gaza. Hamas is.
It's well documented.
Lets get Hamas out of Gaza.
Fatah is a better partner for peace than Hamas.

Supporting Israel and militarizing the police are the only two issues that get bipartisan support from presidents.

I said they have good reasons.
Not that I agree with them.
One can acknowledge the power of an opponents argument and still disagree with them.
I do think Israel is extremely important ally, the only ally in the region who is stuck with us (like Taiwan), however I don't think they need the level of support we give them.
I also am fully against militarizing the police, but I know it was part of a post 9/11 effort, and with militarized cartels and a highly armed nation, there are strong reasons that cities want highly capable and over armed police.
