A close friend (mid 30s dude) called me around midnight a few months back freaking out. He ended up telling me that he blew a few grand on custom vids from some Polish OF girl. He asked me to spot him rent money so he didnt have to tell his lady. 
I didnt believe him so he ended up showing me the convos and he was verbally berating this chick to do certain things and telling her how pissed he was how each video wasnt what he wanted. Felt like he was a step away from beating up a prostitute. Had to cut him loose after that one.
He blew about $4k in 2 weeks. I dont know how he told me that. I would have taken that one to the grave.

You gotta think though, the digital nature of it removes so much.
I mean, people will tell you they'll kill you and rape your dog on your grave over the internet, when in real life they probably wouldn't even say a mean word to you face to face.
The digital nature separates us from reality, it makes it Not real and therefore act or speak as if there were no consequences or ramifications.
Although, it is the thin veneer of society that keeps us, (well, some of us at least) acting civilized. If that fragile civilization cracks and is not soon restored...it's going to be VERY bad for a lot of people.
