Russell Brand was once a famous leftwing actor, celebrated by the British establishment. Then he criticized the government for using Covid to turn the UK into a totalitarian state. The accolades abruptly stopped. A government TV station accused Brand of committing sex crimes against anonymous women they refused to name. Government officials called for his opinions to be scrubbed from the internet. Last month, British prosecutors charged Brand with rape and sexual assault. None of the charges are backed by hard evidence. All of them supposedly took place more than 20 years ago, one of them in the 1990s. The entire case is transparently political and absurd, a near-identical replay of the fake rape charges authorities brought against Julian Assange 15 years ago. Russell Brand, whose youngest child is barely a year old, now faces life in prison. He has no shot at a fair trial, because Britain is no longer a free country. Over the last few years, millions of foreigners have applied for asylum in the United States. Russell Brand actually deserves it. Say a prayer that the Trump administration comes to his rescue.

As far as I know, he has become a permanent resident of the U.S. I doubt he is going back to Britain anytime soon, unless the Dems have a say in it.

This is why statutes of limitations were invented.

How could anyone, or at least most similarly situated people (celeb living a wild life even if never actually breaking laws), ever defend against it?

I've been a huge fans of his for maybe 7 years now (for nonpolitical reasons). The change Russell Brand has undergone in the recent past is remarkable.
He's extremely intelligent, and its very entertaining to listen to him speak on topics that he is passionate about.

Bonkers.
Brand has been a beacon of light for many in the last few years. The UK is lost.

Eh. Democrats will just change them and charge you regardless.

There was an old song entitled, "I Fought the Law and the Law Won." Somebody should do a sequel titled, "I Fought the Globalists and the Globalists Won."

Even after making up child porn charges against Julian Assange and the world finding out it was bullshite. The blob of the UK has no shame in lying about Russell.
Russell should move to a non-extradition island and do podcasts.

Brett Kavanagh says hi. Thanks Dems.

I'd be ok with granting him political asylum. He left the plantation and is getting railroaded for it

There are firms that specialize in this kangaroo shite. They go out and recruit (pay) accusers from the distant past and use the fog of time to try and nail someone they don't like.
Even if the criminal charges fail, they hope that the public perception is that he's guilty because multiple accusers = guilt.

The firm in this country is called the DNC.

Which tells you it is 100% political and has nothing to do with justice.

The UK is gone. What a pathetic group of people they are. I’m ashamed to say I’m descended from those losers.

This is the blueprint and every progressive loves this type of stuff.
Brand learned the hard way that you don't leave the plantation.
Too bad he's not Muslim. They would praise him there for raping, especially if he raped underage girls.

Doesn't he live in the United States?
I don't think he would be extradited for something like this. They probably wouldn't even try. This is just to ruin his name.
