State and local job levels up but federal jobs level down. That's a good start.

I would enjoy a nice Friday for the markets.

Does a slowdown in wage growth mean that the average wages is not growing or that the number of hourly jobs slowed down? If it’s the ladder then that could be an indication people might not have as many side hustles.

The massive divergence between reality and reported numbers started under Biden, July ‘22, I believe, is when the birth death model started being used to fluff headline numbers. No reason to think the new admin wouldn’t keep using it.

Maybe with this jobs report, and inflation sitting at 2.4% yoy, we’ll stop hearing the incessant “Powell needs to stop playing politics” whining. The Fed decisions have worked out pretty well for us for the past few years.

I haven’t dug into it but I did see that there was a big increase in jobs for native Americans. “Migrant” jobs were down.

Ha. That’s a good one.
The American economy really is an incredible engine. Very solid jobs report.
