Is better to be a standout at a 3A school or a middle of the pack athlete at a 6A school?

Probably get more attention from coaches/colleges l lighting up the stats at a smaller school.

Lot of top recruited players have come from small schools.

Better for what? Recruitment?

If your kid is playing select then 3A, his recruitment will come from select and the elite high school stats will bolster that.

All the game results are on the Internet now… if you have elite stats at a 3A school they know if you’re playing a chump schedule or not unlike the old days

Not to mention they’ll check and see if you got your stats in blowouts.

You are assuming that a standout 3A player would only be a middle of the road 6A player which isn’t true. A standout player in 3A would likely still compete at the top of 6A.

For instance the #3 high school player (#1 DL) Elijah Griffin went to a 3A school in GA. He would have been good at higher classifications as well.

For the most part, scouts aren’t going watch kids at their high school games anymore. They want to see them in select or AAU ball. How do they function when playing with the best?

You are wrong. The reality is they won’t even look at your highschool stats at all unless we are talking football. They will recruit you via select teams
