OMG! I’ve been shouting for this since I was 18 in 1980. This and the Department of Education. Why Republicans have allowed this to continue is beyond me. God bless Donald Trump. He is an imperfect instrument, God knows it, but he is the only one who could have led this movement.

Unconstitutional!!!
Show me where in the Constitution it says the People of the United States HAVE to fund a totally politically biased media?
If anything there's an easy argument to make that says just the opposite.

It’s in the communist manifesto

Let’s face it, the deep state is heavily entrenched and comprised of almost all of congress, a majority of the judiciary, and a big majority of his own executive branch. It’s impossible for Trump to rule for the people because of the massive corruption and brainwashed.
Having painted that dismal picture, he can try his best, and at the very least expose those who hate the American people. I think congess is the most disappointing, especially the guy from Benton, where I went to junior high.

You mean like a border wall, funded and authorized by congress, yet turned off by a puppet president and lawfare??

To say that this is long overdue is an understatement. Good Gracious Lord and all that is Holy - Thank You for rectifying this unjust evil inflicted upon us known as NPR.

I sure wish this article would have discussed whether the Chief Executive can do this rather than it being required by some action by Congress. We know darn well that this Trump initiative is going to be at least temporarily stopped by a federal district judge.
Congress is going to have to act in order to provide legal weight and validity to many of Trump's initiatives, but, Congress works for re election and little else.

About time. Even if they were actually neutral news providers. Nowadays opinion journalism can be put out online and platforms like YouTube for free. No high dollar production studios needed.

RINO's have been promising this along with closing the border and deporting the invaders for 30 years.
What's different now?
Johnson and Thune will likely drag their feet.

Has Judge Boasberg ruled on this yet?
I will reserve judgment until he opines here.

I’m not going to waste posts and time arguing the point on this board, but NPR and PBS provide valuable service to smaller communities that otherwise would lack independent news and cultural programming. If someone honestly listens to both services with an open mind, know that all sides are given coverage.
Locally, a lot of Republicans contribute to WYES… and serve on its board.
