For sure.

Did anything come out about Hernandez being out? Just a day off or was he resting nuts from the previous game?

For what he missed the ball had caused the run and he struck out every time he was at bat I know he’s a freshman but be real here

Good to see him make improvements since the beginning of the year. He’s got huge potential, but had a ton to work on between his blocking/ receding and hitting. It’s a good sign to see him already making strides in one area of his game.

I was hard on him as anyone. He did make some mistakes, but I thought he did a good job of framing pitches and allowed Eyanson to get some good calls. He was much improved and if he keeps progressing like this he will definitely be alright.

Johnson said Eyanson is easier to catch because the pitch is usually where it should be.

Sounds like it works best for everyone involved so Hernandez doesn't have to catch 3 days straight and Cade is steadily improving.

He did miss the ball that let the runner advance...debatable whether it "caused" the run.

He was 0-4 with 3 strikeouts...not 4. But your pint stands. He is not ready for SEC pitching and looked lost at the plate.

His defense has drastically improved, however, and he has tremendous upside.

Agreed. He blocked up and gloved a lot of difficult balls last night. Future very bright for him.

Fans were bitching about his defense early in the season (rightfully so it wasn't good), but he was great behind the plate last night. Props to him. When he's the main starter next year he will be a great catcher for us.

He's been good behind the plate lately. A stark improvement from early season. He wasn't particularly good at the plate, but you can see his potential there, so I'll take something like a papierski arc. I think he'll improve drastically there and become a dangerous hitter before he leaves here. Just likely to take a number of helpless ABs before he gets there.

Right. We already know he will be a good hitter. This off season will be huge for him
