DAT 4/18: Astros (Gusto) vs Padres (Hart) 7:10 CT SCHN

With the DAT crosshairs squarely placed on certain Astros legends that have unfortunately spoiled the franchise, I'd like to highlight some franchise icons that did it their own way in hopes of getting back to our roots and inspiring some wins.
Since this will likely only last a day, we start big with a true original. Someone who always did it his way

Everett has also made controversial remarks about homosexuality. He once said that if he had an openly gay teammate that he would consider retiring, or, at the very least, "set him straight." In the 2005 season, he told Maxim that he has had gay teammates and accepted them, but, "Gays being gay is wrong. Two women can't produce a baby, two men can't produce a baby, so it's not how it's supposed to be. ... I don't believe in gay marriages. I don't believe in being gay."[7]

So you're saying we should make him the new hitting coach?

2/3 this weekend just cause that wouldn’t make sense

Well, if the win-loss pattern of the last 14 games holds, they will take 2 of 3. Wins tonight and Sunday, loss Saturday.

Expecting to miss tonight and tomorrow’s games. Flying up to Minneapolis for a funeral. Will pop in and check for updates when I can, though I’m not expecting much positivity with the 15-4 Pads coming to town

Better get this one tonight because it’s going to be tough sledding against King and Cease the next two.
And I think they are getting Jackson Merrill back this weekend

Can someone tell me why we are favored at -161 with Gusto starting
Posted on 4/18/25 at 3:51 pm to ShaneTheLegLechler
I’m thinking we score 3-6 runs total for the series. Probably give up 9-12 runs total and get swept.

Anyone happen to be watching this dbacks cubs game on mlb network?
I turned it on and cubs were up 7-1
Dbacks score 10 in the top of the 8th
Cubs respond with 5 in the bottom of the 8th (including a tucker go ahead 2 run homer)
Currently 12-11!
I’ve seen more offense the last 20 min than I have in the last week watching Houston

If tweet fails to load, click here. But anyway I look forward to Christian Walker striking out 3 times tonight.
