Folks serious about carry usually put in more range time than police officers...

Also, on the concealed carry side, they have the element of surprise...

They also don't have to follow the same rules of engagement as police.

Not surprising at all. Concealed carry by responsible law-abiding citizens is the best defense against an active shooter. By the time cops get there, most of the damage has been done. Why can't the left get this?

They also don’t have the woke arse try 17 different things before shooting rules.

Don’t live in a blue judicial circuit. Live in one that’s gonna give you a pat on the back for shooting a thug, not throw you in jail.

Very true but they certainly have to consider their use of force because they do not have qualified immunity and will likely have to defend their actions in court on their own dime...

Reason #1 - Armed citizens are already there.
Reason #2 - Uniformed officers are obvious targets.
Reason #3 - Civilians stop more shooters than police.
Reason #4 - Civilians cause fewer deaths and injuries
Reason #5 - Civilians handle the responsibility better than they're given credit for.

I didnt watch the video yet, just looked through clips to find the reasons. So I dont quite understand what 3-5 have to do with the video title. Ill have to watch later and here what he says. Colin Noir is a lawyer and gun junkie though, his videos are normally top notch.

Especially when you have cops like in Uvalde who are too scared to even try to stop an active shooter.

This list looks cute and fun, but it's not what we followed in USMC.

It's as if some kid in a basement wrote this to feel tough. It's comically wrong...

#8 - " move away from attacker...."

To those non Marines, look up USMC infantry tactics when attacked....you don't run away, you Go TOWARDS your ambush...

These lists diminish Grunts and make Marines sound like retards.

Everybody that is capable should carry. However, the problem becomes when that dude who thinks he's Rambo but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn tries to stop an active shooter and does more harm than good.

Obama's administration unintentionally proved this over a decade ago when he had them do a study on "gun crimes" (commissioned by the CDC, conducted by the National Academies’ Institute of Medicine and National Research Council). It turned out that defensive use ranged from 500,000 to over 3M annually, compared to the ~300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008.

Right, what happened to the Social Workers that were supposed to take care of this?

Out right scared or infected with the bureaucracy virus and worried more about the risk of lawsuits, public opinion and/or sticking with "protocol" than loss of life..

Have you seen examples of this in real life?
