Good. Any government paid for media is, by definition, propaganda.

It would have to come from Congress. Trump asked Congress to defund NPR and PBS.

This.

I'd love to peek into an alternate universe where PBS and NPR were heavily right leaning. Watch liberals losing their minds over it, then show all that to liberals here.

Fair enough. Now explain why we should find these.

I like most of those programs. Still don't see why we should fund them.

10 (810 on comcast)
and 10.1 (910 on comcast)

Aerial America... great show... it is/was on Smithsonian.

Memphis Memoirs is another good one on KNO.

Nashville and Knoxville have a few good shows as well. Volunteer Gardener is really good, if you like that sort of thing.

To be fair... that's the only way some of those get made.

TOH started out on the local Boston PBS station... along with New Yankee Workshop. Got picked up nationally. Now they are their own "brand" and don't need the PBS funding, but wouldn't be where they are today without it.

Just saying... pull the news funding... but some of the programming is worthwhile and deserves funding. At least start-up funding.

But as for the Masterpiece shows... those are pretty much all BBC shows... they could easily land somewhere else.
