New information obtained by WBRZ says Lacy was arguing with a family member shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday. He reportedly pulled out a gun and shot it at the ground before leaving the area.
About 30 minutes later, a constable spotted Lacy driving and attempted to make a traffic stop. Deputies said Lacy refused to stop and was chased for several miles before crashing.
A report from the Harris County Sheriff's Office says that when deputies walked up to Lacy's vehicle to take him into custody, they didn't realize he shot himself during the pursuit and before the crash.

Holy shite. It sounds like that guy really had some serious issues and it’s sad that he wasn’t able to/did not get help.

What a sad, sad situation. Having no real knowledge of his life, it is difficult to know what was going on with him but some of his actions make me wonder if he was spiraling into depression. The older I get, the more it makes me sad when I see young lives lost in what seems like senseless situations.

He could’ve killed someone else doing that. Geezus man if you want to off yourself don't put others in danger.

I'm sorry for his family and there's no reason to throw salt into the wound but Kyren doesn't sound like he was a good person.
I'm sorry but killing someone then driving away without alerting first responders is shitty by itself, now he's shooting warning shots at family members and getting involved in high speed chases?
Sorry but if he wasn't good at football we'd call him a thug and say good riddance.
I'm sorry for his family but doesn't sound like society lost a model citizen.

Shooting himself while driving a car in a high-speed chase is incredibly dangerous and selfish. Other families on the road could have easily been killed if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. This dude seemed to have no regard for any life other than his own.
I kind of don’t feel as bad for him now. I do still feel bad for his family and friends though.

Exact thing I thought. But that would take a lot of known concussions or even micro concussions, and he never sat for any of that at LSU. Maybe at USL.

This is an oxymoron. Most adults would crumble under the pressure from the situation and all the outside commentary. We most often do not deserve the entire world’s criticism when facing our low points in life. I would not wish that upon most.

Seems that young man had a real affinity for firearms.

I’m not being a dick when I say this but “it makes you wonder if he was spiraling into depression”? So getting pulled from the NFL draft/an nfl Career (his life dream), being arrested for neligment homicide with an impending trial looming you are wondering if it was depression?

I don’t feel bad at all. Atleast he didn’t take a second life.

Maybe so but you could keep some things to yourself

The dude killed himself. How much regard for his own life do you think he really had?
Depression is a terrible curse to deal with. Even moreso when it's a young person dealing with it. The more I read about this it's clear to me that's what he was going through. Probably for years.
I'm not religious, nor do i usually give a shite about anyone who is not my immediate family, but his family is in my thoughts. Suicide is the most selfish and insensitive thing you can do to the people who love you.
Just a sad situation all around.
