Does LSU have the best and worst fans in all sports?

Reading threw some of these comments makes me think some of them are members of the Whitakers on YouTube. Any1 can be the goat of coaching after they know the outcome of the play. I just read a post asking why was Stanfield even on the team. That post is 1st ballot HOF of stupidity. If it was up to me they would be Pete Rosed from TD. I'm curious how the sister can understand the brother who barks like a dog(if you don't know who the Whitaker are just go to YouTube. Tiger fans before you make a post please think about what your saying before you post the comment. PS Can't wait until football!!!

Our fan base is extremely football and baseball ignorant while also being entitled in football and baseball.

It’s to the point it’s not even enjoyable to get on the rant anymore to try to read something significant or learn from. It’s so bad because its mostly a bunch of people crying about anything and constantly complaining

Many years ago you could learn things on here and many posters had literary chops. Now granted, the Rant is still the place for breaking LSU sports news but yes, it now seems to be made up of ignoramuses who bitch and moan all the time.

I have to disagree. While our fans tend to swing to positive or negative spectrum to extra levels because of one loss or bad performance. Nothing tops Alabama fans who have literally murdered each other over opinions on there teams.

I think we see it more because we are LSU fans. Most successful major programs get this sort of stuff. Smaller schools seem to have fans that harken to more traditional college fan norms.
It can be disheartening but if you pay attention you will find some reasonable posters and make a few friends. You'll even find a few with pretty good knowledge they are willing to share. You have to decide who to ignore, who to give credence to, and who is just trolling.
Even the trolls can be of different sorts. Some are clearly trolling and just trying to have a little fun seeing who will bite, that isn't my cup of tea but I do find a few guys funny (El Gaucho, for example) because they always stay in character and are not really mean-spirited. Others are just looking to start an argument, we have more than our share of those, it helps to not rise to the bait of those.

Not really. The old Skip crowd doesn’t really post much anymore. Everyone on here hyperventilates at anything. We’ve lost a lot of games and made it to Omaha before. People need to relax and understand baseball is a game of failure.

Successful programs will have a lot of people who know little about sports but are bandwagon fans at the time.
Most fans here are bandwagon. They know little about the sport and arent afraid to let that be known. LSU is just a victim of its own success in that regard.
