Jay needs to do a bit of Tinkerin…

Yeah Braswell needs to be staying there.

Reeves won’t be seeing third again for a while

Tanner Reeves has no business starting in front of Braswell.
The experiment needs to end tonight.

no jay is way too stubborn...you will see him again. Maybe even this weekend. Does not like to be proven wrong.

No, Jay is way too smart. He is a promising prospect. Get him experience. That’s a big priority that’s worth a game or two.

Put John Pearson there. Kid can play 3rd base and swing it.

Maybe he can get better in the off-season, but you can't start someone with that type of defense at this point in the season. He can't field worth a shite and he's not some great hitter to where you keep putting him in over someone like Braswell. Braswell should be the player we let play and work things out.
If Reaves gets another start, it shouldn't be in an SEC series. If what we've seen so far holds up, he probably will start against certain pitching matchups, but IMO he shouldn't. What we've seen from him on defense all season has been atrocious and he certainly hasn't made up for it at the plate. The 2 errors he had tonight were like some shite you'd see in coaches pitch.
Not sure how you can say someone like him is "worth a game or two", especially when he hasn't shown any improvement.

exactly my point. He is what he is at this point in his career. Worth repeating, defense at the JUCO level got him moved to RF. The LHH bat is not worth the significant drop-off in defense.

Holy crap this entire board was begging for Reaves to start over Braswell just a couple of weeks ago.

tRant was all in...I will exclude myself from that train to nowhere. I believe the JUCO coaches...

That seems like a familiar phrase. I feel like I saw something like that about a football player a couple of years ago.
But I do think Brasswell should be starting at third most nights.

Not me. SO not the entire board. There were a crapton of folks, though.

Hold That Tiger 10 was one of them

Can't believe the Reaves backers took so long to change their minds. Oh, they don't like Bras even though he has done everything asked of him. Reaves is not an SEC 3B and his bat hasn't been hot in awhile, he is like a freshman trying to catch up to SEC level play where there are 4th and 5th year guys who should be starting in front of him.

Based on 0 fielding opportunities at 3rd base? His only putout is as a 1st baseman.
He is also 0-2 batting with 1 walk in SEC play.

Agree...Three others have much better gloves at 3B - Braswell/Ryan/Hog. Lil Pearson is much more a 1B and future DH than anything else.
