Does anybody else think the Maravich Maniacs are kind of disappointing?

They haven't had a lot to cheer about in a while. Give them a little time ... it will come back to them.

They aren't up to par with the student section from the Stro and Jabari days, but they are getting better with each game. It doesn't help that the lower level section is separate from the other sections. They are still a work in progress, but I expect their "A" game on Saturday night!

Im tired of hearing about the student section. I sit in the Maravich Maniac section for every game. We need more non-student fans. We're doing our part

No doubt, the older folks need to get more involved as well. Having said that, there is plenty of room for improvement when discussing the student section. You probably weren't around for the Stro and Jabari days, but this crew was very loud and creative.

the maniacs do their thang. its the rest of the student section that is lacking. most are just sitting there on their hands.i know they are far away, but the students at the top of the student section for football games are still into it.

Students aren't the only fans in the pmac. If the season ticket holders and the rest of the crowd get into the game, get off their hands, and get loud, the students would only get louder. If the student section was better back in the day, why don't you get in the pmac and show the students how it's done. /rant

i agree with ya. i tend to sit where ever i want for games. the last two games i ended up about 10 rows from the court in the corner by the tiger girls. i was the loudest one over there, but everybody got into it as marcus was raining 3s.

What they need to do is move the band behind the goal like every other college does and move some students down to where the band is

Obviously they have moved the student section
from when I was a student ~ oh, that's right, I
was a student when Pete was playing in the Cow Palace. Those were the true Maravich Maniac days. Especially his freshman year when everyone would leave after the JV game.
Looking forward to Saturday's game as we get so few LSU games in California. We are forced to watch CAL and Stanford.
