And only 1 season he hit more than 49 home runs (73). Kind of surprising. Also interesting to note is that his homerun average did not drastically change after taking steroids. Was averaging close to 40 hrs a year during his pre steroid prime.

THE JUDGE has hit 50+ dongs three times and he didn’t even need steroids. The * career record is falling.

Judge is already to old to break that record.

Judge would need to average 54 home runs per year until 40. If he can hit 50 until 35, he will have 465 and only need 185 from 35-40 or 57 a season. It is pretty impossible.

While very unlikely, if he has about 9 more Judge type seasons. He can do it.

This is a pretty good career statline, right?

.289/.412/.567, 494 HR, 1547 BB, 1189 K, 111.4 bWAR, 3 MVP, 8 Gold Gloves.

That's Barry Bonds if he had retired after the 2000 season.

You forgot stolen bases. I used to love Barry until he roided so much his head got as big as a pumpkin.

I got tired of going back and forth between this page and Baseball Reference, but I was originally going to do a blind comparison between Bonds from 1987-2000 and Lou Gehrig's career numbers. They're remarkably similar.

Well, at least I know now that you're a troll account. For a bit, it seemed like you were an overzealous fan.

Solid troll effort while holding the candle for Mr. April.

Kinda hard to hit HRs when you’re intentionally walked 150 times a year

That’s fine, we don’t have to agree but over .500 on base % for 4 straight years. Over .600 on base one season. Hit .370 at like 36-37 years old, hit over .360 at 38 or 39. Alltime home run leader, alltime walks by about a million, most intentional walks by light years, was getting walked with bases loaded at one point, single season home run leader, was leading the league in walks, intentional walks, HR ratio and on base multiple seasons while over 40 years old, alltime leader in WAR and that’s just off the top of my head.
