Damn near 9:00 tip for us East Coasters, which is absurd for a Monday night. They do the same thing for the CFB National Championship. Gotta cater to the West Coast which notoriously loves its college athletics.

It's always tipped off at 8:50 eastern time for as long as I can remember.

I live in the eastern time, so I won’t be able to watch much of it because I need to go to bed for work. 9 o’clock is way too late.

I was just confirming this for last years game (it was 9:20 ET) but I also realized I had already forgotten that San Diego St was in the title game

This has always made no sense. Would you rather the east coast can watch the second half/4th quarter of big games or that the west coast can make kickoff/tip? I would think everyone would agree you would rather have eyes on the second half over everyone seeing the tip

Even 8pm ET would be reasonable but the old 920PM ET tips were brutal
