Expectations were not based in reality… Deep Seek was the wakeup call. So i took from that
that its probably a sector to not jump back in when this turns around? What stocks/sectors will benefit once we level off and turn this thing around

That narrative is comical after the fact.

I want something like XMAG.

quote:

XMAG, the first ETF designed to provide investors with exposure to the S&P 500, excluding the “Magnificent 7” (Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta, and Tesla). XMAG offers a unique opportunity for investors to access the broader market while reducing concentration risk in these dominant tech stocks.

Maybe RSP or RWL with a track record.

You want a fund that purposely leaves out the most incredible businesses on the planet entirely? That’s… interesting

I'm curious what the 500 has looked like with those 7 removed over the last 6/12/24/36

They’re trying so hard right now to deflect the blame.

It’s not though. They’re the most profitable companies in the world but paradoxically are the most overvalued because of the market structure.

Technically all of them except TSLA, it is the oddball of the 7. As they are not even in the top 100 profitable companies.

I do think they are all being priced for some sort of monetization of AI, that is not occurring at this time. Still waiting on the true profit model

My whole point was that their valuations are the most disconnected from reality specifically because their large market caps are the reason they have the highest returns in recent years. Has nothing to do with valuation or earnings power but ya point taken.

But valuations are becoming pointless. There are cryptos that do absolutely nothing that have multi billion dollar valuations. Doge coin was literally a meme that has a $20 billion market cap…. If that can be worth that amount, amazon could be worth 20 trillion

Don't fall into that trap, crypto is completely unregulated and thinly traded. Very little real money can be cashed out of those supposed market caps on most of these crypto securities. Market cap basically has no relevance because everyone knows 99% of it is wash trading and backed by tether bucks.

The stock market still requires real capital, that's why when all these posts like Nvidia etc that are going to be bigger than the world economy never happen

I would not compare the scale of money in most equities found on the NYSE/NASDAQ with 99% of crypto securities. Wash trading is basically the rule not the exception, most market caps are inflated 99%

The mag 7 may be growth stocks?
I may be looking for value stocks?
Something like
VSTS
BUD
MO
NKE
WMT
MDLZ
SWJRX

So we all agree the rich always get richer, right?
Why then would that not apply to the Mag7 and it’s rich investors/executives?

For the record, I have relatively large positions in Microsoft and Amazon
