Constant ear ringing. Anyone had success with home remedies or an ENT doctor visit?

I've had it since last deer season which may explain the possible cause. It's not terribly loud, but it's constant and annoying.

no cure for Tinnitus. Not saying it happens to everyone but, mine was a precursor to hearing loss.

Tinnitus. There is no fix that I know of. You get used to it to the point that you don’t even notice it unless you think about it.

Pops had it. Side effect from the clot shot as well.
It took a couple years but he got used to it

No, but I use the below violet noise to sleep every night. I don't even notice my ear ringing anymore.

Is it common not to wear earpro while hunting, especially from a stand?

for the most part, yeah. Mine tends to be louder in quite settings. There are times when it's like an alarm going off in my head.

My wife got Tinnitus a few years ago, and it drives her crazy sometimes, other times it's not as bad as it can get. But she said the ringing is always there.

Welcome. If you have had it for a year, you're likely to be stuck with it. You could have impacted ear wax, so getting your ears cleaned may help but probably not. You could get an MRI and have a tumor on some nerve, extremely unlikely. Mine was clear. Ears are so insanely precious that ENT cannot diagnose how you got the ringing and have close to zero treatment for it. I have been told maybe I had an infection at some point to start it.
Going on 10 years with mine. Thankfully it hasn't progressed much louder but definitely has gotten slightly louder. Since onset, I have been OCD about being around loud events though. I think that has helped mine from getting worse.

It was common back in the day. Hence my tinnitus.

You have Tinnitus holmes, a guy I know got it by being in a NASCAR pit, his ears have been ringing for 10 years

Mine also, I started with the ringing in my left ear when I was 19 and my hearing started diminishing in that ear. Then all of a sudden around 48 my hearing in my right ear got worse than may left. Rang in my 50th birthday with a set of hearing aids.

Don't overlook this, especially since you can do it with an Amazon kit for $30. I normally don't notice the tinnitus I have (I can't even hear it unless I'm in a completely quiet room and really think about it,) but a few years ago it got bad in one ear, and I couldn't hear very much. I tried flushing out the wax, and what came out was of shocking size and color, and I was back to normal in minutes. Never happened before or since.

Are you Scottish?
Did it start in your 20's to 30's?
Do you salt your food?

yeah, I was told by doctors to cut down on salt and caffeine. Probably a bit to late for me but, may help others in the earlier stages.

How old were you when yours started?

Yes, every single thing that ails humankind has only started in the last 4 or 5 years, and it can all be traced back to the “Covid jab”…. You should really get your head out your arse, do your own research and stop with the lazy thinking.

The most annoying thing I experience is something they call sudden brief tinnitus. I get this loud burst for like 20 seconds and it dissipates back to normal. Sounds like a flash bang from call of duty.

For the weirdest "cure" imaginable, when you have ringing in your ears place your palms over your ears with your fingers pointing back towards your neck, holding your neck and back of your head. Lift your middle fingers up like you're "cocking" them (or giving someone the bird) then thump them down onto your neck. Sounded crazy when someone showed me but it solved like 99% of my ear ringing issues.
