Just started Lost… 4 months later I’m done

Yes I know only 20 years late. But I was a kid when it came out. Always heard about it and saw commercials but just now watching it on Netflix. I am only a few episodes in but it looks good. I never knew the whole “sci-fi” angle of whatever is in the jungle. I just always assumed it was just a show with people lost on a deserted island trying to survive
Definitely one of the better shows I have seen. I would have to agree that the main characters are some of the more closely followed in any series I have seen. I thought the ending was appropriate and it tied everything back together pretty well. I know it took me 4 months to watch it but I can’t imagine having to wait and the anticipation of weekly episodes

Have you started HEROES yet?

It was one of the most enjoyable rides back in the day. The last season and ending didn't live up to the greatness of the show though.

I’m jealous of you getting to experience it for the first time

Yeah, the set up was damn near perfect.
The follow though.. not so much.

It's a great show. People shite on the latter seasons but they're still better than most of the trash on TV today.

Lost is a sacred show to me. Enjoy it.

SAME. Would love to take that ride for the first time again.
Still my favorite show of all time.

Check in after you finish Season 1, that's when it peaks imo

It's either the end of S3 or S4 where the story feels like it doesn't know where it's going, but stick with it. When Lindelof saw the story getting too loose (creating more questions than answers so far into the series) he met with the writers during the break between seasons and hammered out a definite ending for them to start writing toward. The story noticeably picked up when the next season started.

Do some research on Buddhism which will help you understand some of the symbolism and the underlying spiritual philosophy of the show.
And the last season was great. A lot of people disagree, but I think they totally stuck the landing. Again, having a foundational understanding of Buddhism will help you understand what’s going on.
Seasons 3 & 4 wander because they only wanted to do like 3 or 4 seasons. The network wanted 10. They compromised with 6, so what we got was more bloated than intended.
When you’re fine with this, watch the Battlestar Galactica reboot. They ran around the same time and are thematic cousins.

I have never seen it. I do know the twist at the end, so those that have watched it, is it still worthy of a watch?

Same here.
I remember going to blockbuster and renting the first season, or first dvd of the first season. I went to check out and this was the conversation I had with the cashier:
Cashier: Are you sure you want this?
Me: Huh? Is it not good?
Cashier: You are not going to be able to stop watching and will have to rent the whole series.
Me: Damn...
Cashier: Sign up for a free trial of blockbuster online and you can rent them all for free.
And that's what I did. You could rent 3 dvd's at a time online, get them in the mail, watch them, and return the 3 to a blockbuster store and they would let you rent 3 more dvd's in person, all while your next 3 in your online queue are mailed to you. It was a crazy good deal. I got caught up really fast in 2006.
