Varnado from State

If we had this guy, we'd be a top 10 team with what we have now.
It always seems that State has a guy in this mold. Thankfully, State had no guard play to go with him tonight. In those years of '02-'05, State always killed us because of their inside/outside presence. Even with Lloreda, Bass, Davis, and the like, we could not stop them. Tonight, we contained Varnado - I suppose - and State had no other answers...and we did it with the least talented front court that LSU has had in years. No knock on CJ, Tas, and QT...but they ain't an NBA dream team, but props to them for stopping that beast tonight. Contrarily, CJ wasn't able to do much because of Varando, but luckily we didn't need that.
Anyway, that was one of the most threatening big men we shall see this year...in the west anyway.

The lack of a legit big will be the major downfall of the team. LSU will have a good year but the one thing keeping them from being an elite team this year is the post play

This is so stupid man, you have no clue what you're talking about. You do realize we swept them for 2 years straight???
Bass dominated Lawrence Roberts and he was POY.
Very bad statement. Lloreda, Bass, Davis and Tyrone Thomas did their thing against State and the rest of the SEC.

We raped State multiple times during that span.

I just wish CJ would put on 20 pounds and be a bigger presence. That block he had on Varnado was sick.
Varnado's about as good a defensive player as it gets. It's only of recent that he's come along as an offensive threat. He and CJ on a team would be a lethal combo.

you're talking to the walking LSU encyclopedia. Watch it.
sweeping them for 2 years is just 2 years. MSU has been our hardest foe in the west for years now, IMO.
havent they won the last 4 against us?

From 2002 through 2006 LSU and Miss. State split 12 games evenly. State was the beneficiary of the Baylor fiasco which allowed Lawrence
Roberts to land in their lap with immediate eligibility.

Yeah, you're right...I have no clue...I guess those SEC tourney games against them were imaginary. The 2 years we swept 'em was '05'-06...notice i didn't say a word about '06, genius.

I'm done with you. You might as well have said Shaquille McNeal. Good job.
Anyone who knows recent history knows that State was a thorn in our side in the Brady days. They even beat the 2000 team 1/2. They beat us in the '02 and '03 SEC tourneys.
And maybe Lawrence was stopped here and there...Zimmerman, however, wasn't. And the white guy from the Czech Rep or wherever wasn't either. Idiot, I said inside and OUTSIDE play.

I think I've just witnessed one of the most amazing message board burns in history.

And it wasn't that close. I hated watching Shane Power drain 3 after 3.

Retard, you ever heard of a nickname? My friends and I have always called TT "Tyrone"
You stated that State's big men dominated us. They never dominated us. We dominated them.
So check yourself son.
The only one that ever did anything on us was Mario Austin.
ETA: funny you mention 02-05 but leave that out of your stats.

I felt like state was playing better when they had Bailey in there elbowing people in the face. Dude seems to have an extra large chip on his shoulder from not getting looked at by LSU.
