Anyone on the OB have a Trail boss? Looking at the 2025s and considering a custom or LT Trail boss. Any input good or bad would be appreciated. They actually going for a pretty decent price right now, does that mean they suck

I own a suburban and have had a Silverado in the past, live the trucks. But…
I drove a rental Silverado a few months ago… DO NOT buy their 4 or 6 cylinder turbo in the custom trucks, whatever that engine was sounded like a damn civic

The diesel is probably different. This was a gas

The ones at my dealership seem to be the 2.7l 4 cylinder

I have the 24’ with the 3.0 Duramax, so far so good. I Love it!

2020 TrailBoss 82k miles and its been a fantastic truck. I have a 5.3L V8 so I don't have any opinion on the turbo options but I would buy thus truck again.

I just turned in a company truck with the 2.7l turbo - 2023 Silverado Custom. That engine is a joke in my opinion

Skintback had one for a lil while. He didn’t keep it long well hell he don’t keep any of his trucks long. I remember him saying he liked it. End of the day tho he’s a Ram fanboy!

Guy that works for me has a custom trail boss, maybe a 20 or 21, but he’s had it longer than my Silverado I got in may of 21 and he hasn’t had a single issue with it. Think I recall him saying he had 65k on it a few months ago. I’m not sure the difference, but I a got a good deal on the RST with the z71 package and put the trail boss kit (2.5” lift)on it plus a level for cheaper than the LT trail boss.

Have a 2020 with the 6.2.
For 1/2 ton truck it’ll fly. Been a good truck. 90k miles

My father just bought a 25 Silverado Trailboss. Nice truck. Only thing that is bothering him so far is the Apple CarPlay has a bug with it where it will not fit the entire 13" screen. The screeen has part Carplay and part Chevy stock software on the screen at the same time. Apparently its a chevy software thing because it works fine with the Android.

What engine did he get?
I don’t know a whole alot about the 2.7L 4 cylinders and that’s what my dealership seems to have

Custom Trail Boss can be had w/2.7L or 5.3L, but will have the old dash & radio screen. LT Trail Boss can be had w/ 3.0L, 5.3L, or 6.2L & bigger screen/radio…

Correct.
Just trying to figure out which is best and reliable and ddnt know if anyone had any personal experience
Seems like a bunch of 2.7s out there and can be had for relatively cheap but I guess there’s a reason ?

I am considering a diesel, but I am really waiting to see if exhaust regulations get rolled back. Have heard that modern diesels aren’t so reliable anymore because of the emissions stuff, but if DEF deletes become fully legal again then I’m jumping.

I have a 2021 with 132k miles
No major issues. Just the usual shite from driving in the woods all the time.
