Shai is 100% going to win. I personally would probably voter Joker but Shai is a very deserving winner. Though not as bad as last year, voter fatigue is going to hurt Jokers chances.

Should be Jokic he’s averaging 27/12/10 and carrying his team. Shai has had a great season averaging 32/5/5 and they have a great record but Jokic is the best this season. They will try to push the Shai narrative just to have someone new. I don’t have a problem with Shai winning

Shai’s the centerpiece of a borderline historic team. It wouldn’t be anything like Embiid’s theft. I think genuine fans of basketball don’t have an issue with either

Jokic

Only reason he hasn’t won 5 in a row after this season is because he isn’t an American black

He is clearly the best player in the NBA

I know it wouldn't be a theft, hence me saying he's a deserving winner. But voter fatigue is still going to play a factor (played a major factor last year). Shai is going to run away with the award and it's really shouldn't be a run away winner.

The powers that be and that guy, Kendrick Perkins don't want the best basketball player on the planet to win it again....so back to his horses with a shrug on how petty and protective and racial the keepers of the game in America have gotten about basketball.

SGA is the best player on the best team setting all time NBA and personal records. Its that simple. It truly is a no brainer. And they are the 2nd youngest team in NBA this year so its not a lot of seasoned vets helping him out.

Lets look at another angle, the top 10 teams in history by NET rating - and how many starters they had out by games.

This is how many games starters missed for the Top 10 teams in NBA History by NET rating

1996 Bulls: 45
2025 Thunder: 92 (and counting)
1997 Bulls: 56
2017 Warriors: 45
2024 Celtics: 67
2016 Spurs: 52
2008 Celtics: 31
1992 Bulls: 24
1971 Bucks: 4
2016 Warriors: 34

Think about that stat. SGA is not resting games out. He is playing many minutes with bench role players and still winning.

Anyways, it seems the Jokic fan club has made their line in sand. Some even resort to race baiting as reason. But the simple answer is SGA is the best player and has led his team to historic highs. And he will be your MVP.

None of this takes away how good Jokic is. It does not have to be made out where one is bad and one is good. SGA simply has earned it this year.

Shai is going to win by a large margin and is a deserving winner. He's having a great season on an historically great team.

Jokic is a superior player having a superior individual season, but MVP has always heavily weighed team success.

Good points but I would argue that Thunder team would still be in the playoffs without SGA. The nuggets would be a lottery team without Jokic. SGA is deserving but Jokic’s season is also historic and he is the best player on the planet currently.

If Paolo from the Orlando Magic played on a decent team, he would be MVP
