Keep in mind, only about 8% of the US population owns stock. And in that 8% is made up of the wealthiest 1% if not more.

And this is who the left is upset for right now as Trump works his magic to help make our country better in the long term AND to help reduce prices in the long term.

Fact check on 8% owning stocks. Everyone with a 401k owns stock. Everyone who has a pension, owns stock indirectly. Everyone with a Roth IRA owns stock. Thats before you get into all of the wall street bet bros investing on Robinhood

This falls in the category of something you don’t need to check to know it’s wrong.

I checked to see what the real number is: 58% of US households own stock. And households is the meaningful measure, because obviously children aren’t going to own many stocks.

That is blatantly not true. Where did you even get this BS number?

Pew Research

quote:

About 62% of U.S. adults, or roughly 162 million people, own stocks

quote:

Overall, 58% of U.S. families had some sort of exposure to the stock market in 2022, the highest level ever recorded by the SCF. The median value of those holdings was $52,000; the mean value was $489,500.

quote:

By far the most common way to own stock is through a retirement plan, such as an employer-sponsored 401(k) or 403(b) program or an individual retirement account (IRA). A record 54% of American families had such a retirement plan in 2022.

If you support the tariffs that's fine, but don't act like this doesn't hurt a lot of very ordinary people.

The people that will be most hurt is the middle to slightly upper middle class. Once this wipe out is over, the ultra-rich will come in with more cash and buy up the cheap assests. They will own more than ever before.

I don’t think the communists are worried about anything but power and gulags for the rest of us.

What stupid arse place did you pull this number from? Let me guess - your arse?

Any place you look, the number is above 50% and most show 60% or above. The fact you think only 8% of Americans own stock really goes to show how stupid you are.

It really is a shame how fricking stupid y'all are.

60% of the US owns stock. But, the wealthiest 10% own like 93% of all US stock. He’s probably confusing that number.

That sounds like a made up number ~21% of americans actively contribute to 401k accounts, and that doesn't include retirees

Yep, they are the ones who are going to railed the most though. Upper middle class lifestyle cant be funded on social security checks, so they will have to eat into their principal, cant ride out the turbulence
