Holy shite that trailer was awesome! Moses?!
They usually don't do teaser trailers with that much in it this far in advance, since they usually write the episodes the week of the show. I wonder if the format changed?

Absolutely this.
But I am pumped though...been wanting new actual episodes for years now.
The last 10 episode season we got was in 2019 (S23). S24 was just two (!) episodes...the longer pandemic-centric ones. S25 was 6 and S26 was 6. And for some reason it feels like it's been WAY longer than just two years since we had new SP episodes, but per Wiki aired from February to March 2023.
Also, I'm looking at an episode list on Wiki and one thing I never realized before was that Trey Parker basically writes and directs the show himself. I always knew he was the one doing the majority of that, but it doesn't even list Matt Stone as co-writer on any episodes since the season premier of S4 (!) outside of one, single episode (Cupid Ye in S26). And basically every single episode since S3 has been written solely by Trey. Wow.

They do have a team of writers, as can be seen in "6 Days to Air."
Maybe Trey just has final say on what makes it into the final cut or not?
I wish Matt and Trey would go on Joe Rogan. Would be such a great interview.

As awesome as it looks I could see Matt and Trey trolling everyone and having all the footage just be random shite that has zero to do with the season since I think this is the earliest we've seen an actual trailer with in season footage

Looks like a dispute with Paramount has delayed the premiere to July 23. And Paramount just dropped all seasons of SP from Paramount+, but the specials are still there.

Damn, that was the contract that was almost a billion dollars, right? I wonder what's going on for them to drop all of that content off of their service.
