Would you take Tet McMillan off your draft board?

Is the video of him saying he doesn’t watch film or football and doesn’t necessarily like football enough to turn you away from him? We need a big WR like him but that type of attitude reminds me too much of Marcus Davenport who openly said football was a means to an end. You can get by on talent alone in college but if he doesn’t watch film and work on his craft he will be a bust in the NFL.

It's concerning for sure. Was disappointed to see that. I'm now thinking UGA LB/Edge Jalon Walker. But see how it goes. Or Will Johnson. Or OL. Or everything!

That video was made before he ever played a down at Arizona. He had just gotten on campus for fall practices his freshman year.

And I think he did say he watches film as a group. Or was that to clean up the mess afterwards?

He said he watches film with his unit (WRs). Being fresh out of high school at the time, he probably hadn't learned how to break down & watch film on his own yet.

I wouldn’t have him on mine. I’ve never been a huge fan of drafting him. Not because of the old interview but I just don’t really think the ultra tall, slower, contested catch WR is worth a top 10 pick. Id rather have that skill set from my TEs and speed and run after the catch mismatches everywhere else.

There are plenty of teams that are highly successful without “big” WRs. See the Super Bowl champs.

Yeah, we should avoid Mike Evans 2.0 because he said he doesn't like watching film years ago.

Ummmm the Super Bowl champs #1 WR is AJ Brown.

Brown:
6’2”
226 lbs
4.49 40

Tet:
6’4”
219
4.46/4.48 40

I would draft Jah Barron CB texas in the first.
Jaydon Higgins WR Iowa in second. BOND IN 3RD IF Highins is not there.

Our secondary coach is from Texas he is very familiar with Baron. Baron would replace Paulson Adido. I think we still have a hole to be filled in our secondary with the loss of Lattimore and Adido. I would love to get the Saftey out of Texas also in late 3rd or 4th if he is still there when we pick.

Who is 6’1” 226 and twitchy as frick. He’s a completely different player/skillset/body type from Tet and built like a big running back. He’s deadly after the catch. But super cool job of sounding like a 12 year old girl with your ummmmmm and making my point for me about having run after the catch mismatches outside instead of the ultra tall guys.

it gives me Marcus Davenport flashbacks

The biggest knock on him was that they weren't sure he gave a frick about football and had too many other interests

And they were right

Would not take him off the draft board, but it would change my interview questions.
Based on the video, I would not draft him in the top 10 without an in-person interview. However, that would not scare me away from still considering him; I would just change up some of my pre-planned questions/topics that we would discuss one-on-one

Wasn't that from when he first got on campus? Anyone who does that based on a video from his freshman year before the season even started either had him only marginally on their draft board or they are stupid.

Not a big fan of his. Most years I'm screaming for a WR in the first round, but I don't really think there's one worth 9 (except Hunter who won't be there). I would prefer Warren or Jeanty if we're taking a weapon in the first.
