Maybe, but I think he is referencing the fact that its a total refresh because no one knows him, so Zendaya, his buddy, his HS classmates, are all gone.

2027 for Beyond the Spider-Verse is diabolical and they act like we are immortal or some shite.
Across the Spider-Verse came out in 2023. IIRC they said that part two was supposed to come out in 2024 or 2025 and that they were working on the film back to back. Sony lied.

Think we are getting some spider friends for sure. With Sadie Sink casted already, a lot of people are thinking Mayday for her as Tobey's kid. I can see them adding Miles too.

Seriously. Outside of Batman 2, this is the only comic book movie I care about. The first two were two of the best comic book movies ever. The ending to Into the Spider-Verse was just incredible. It is really disappointing that you have to rewatch movies now before the new ones come out just to remember what happened.
