Curious of the story of Jeff Doucet, regarding Jody Plauche'

Watched a recent interview with Jody regarding everything that happened. I remember the story very well as I'm also in my early 50s but was living in New Orleans at that time. I agree Jeff was an evil POS and deserved what he got. I'm always interested in the past lives of these horrible people, what got them to this situation? Was he maybe also raped when younger? Did he and others have a mostly good life and just decided to be monsters?
I struggle (and I don't think about it all the damn time, but occasionally) to grasp how someone becomes a child rapist, any kind of rapist, serial killer. I can never understand the act, but part of me wonders how many of them had the same fate as kids.

I think some people are predisposed to being bad or evil. Maybe some of these people were treated poorly as kids and that is what they learn.
It’s still a bad thing that needs to be dealt with and Jody did that. I would have no remorse.

It's true. His mother trafficked him and his sister Carline. She got pregnant at 13 and the mother kept the baby girl...and well...you can imagine what the mother did with her. I think she was 7 when I was kidnapped.

Good Lord almighty. I get everyone is different but you went through a horrendous experience and have come out pretty well I hope it’s safe to say. I wonder if he was just broken as a kid and never recovered. Absolutely no excuse for what he did, hell he may have been a monster with a good childhood. Still makes me wonder about that kind of stuff. Also even now makes me think what kind of shitty childhood his mother must have had

I don’t care if he or anyone else had a rough childhood, it does not give them the right to abuse or kill anyone. Help is out there.
