This is one of the weakest Jazzfest lineups I have seen in quite some time

A couple OK names, and a bunch of meh

Not many acts that are at all relevant in the music industry

2025 and Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam are your headliners?

I truly hope whatever is wrong with Jazzfest gets fixed, because this. . .well

Only act on their I would be jazzed up to see is Morris Day and the Time. . .but that is because of the quality of the show they put on.

They are a lot of fun to see live, man

Seriously

Reminds me of Cowboy Mouth, in that the music is meh, but the energy and everything makes it fun.

It should be a requirement that when people bitch about jazz fest that they name who they think should be playing instead.

You mean to tell me you’re not excited for Burna Boy and HAIM?

Jazz Fest is what it is. Its aimed at older people so you get older (safer) acts.
Haven't been in several years (3 I think) but I would say the average age of the attendee was between 55 and 60.

And there is nothing wrong with that, know your market. People in that demographic absolutely have more disposable income than say the 18-30 age group.

You mean who would get me, personally,to buy a ticket?

Any of the pop rock acts: Halestorm, Paramore, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, etc would be a good grab

Hard Rock acts like Ice Nine Kills, Memphis May Fire, Asking Alexandria, Catch Your Breath, Nothing More, etc

Any generally relevant rap or R&B acts

Is that ok, would you like me to name more?

The guy wanted names of bands that would get me amped.

Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam gets nobody amped. Would have been jazzed 20 years ago.

I am in the age demo you guys keep citing.

But I can't name a song by either band from the last 20 years

Hell, I thought DMB broke up

In all honesty, I completely agree. I'd go see Pearl Jam, Cage the Elephant, and My Morning Jacket, but I have no desire to see anyone else.

I agree 100%. I only go to JF because I work at a friend's booth, so I can go see whatever sets I want for free. I'm a child of the 90's. I saw Pearl Jam in the Quarter back in the day when they were new. Now, they're old and washed up like me. The only song I absolutely love by them is "Black", so I'll live if I can't watch them do it live again.

Edit: I may go see Kenny Wayne Shepherd out of nostalgia if I get the chance. I saw him at Red River Revel back in the day, so I won't die if my booth is too busy for me to leave,

I would love this, but that has never been Jazz Fest’s brand.

Hell, I'd check out Santana, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Marty Stewart, John Fogarty, Gladys Knight, Tab Benoit, and BeauSoleil.
