I heard Moon talk about closed primaries, but anybody have recommendations on the others? My views align pretty well with Moons.

Closed primaries aren’t on this ballot.

Closed primaries will happen in 26.

Amendment 2 is basically six amendments that should each have their own vote that have nothing to do with each other. Why? May as well read like:
Provide free trips to Hawaii, kill grandmothers over the age of 80, eliminates income tax, demolish Tiger Stadium, construct new bridge, and bans assault weapons.

Haha, true!
To be fair, that's because there is so much stuff in Art VII which this is rewriting. A lot (but not all) of what this amendment does is take stuff out of the constitution.

Article 7 is big.
You guys are fricking idiots if you think rewriting the constitution would be done with three words.
If you don’t believe me look up article 7 and read it. Then report back next week after you finish the book.

Read the PAR guides or CABL guides. Then make up your own mind.
Don’t listen to the opinions here because they are informed by history and emotion not information.
You can’t have a rational discussion about these amendments on here. To many monkeys shitting in there hands and slinging it.

Link's to PAR guide are above.
Here is the link to CABL's guide.
PAR does not make voting recommendations, CABL does. So it might be worth looking at both.

CA No. 1 - No
We have too many judges now and Jeff doesn't need to help out his friends with more of them. Plus, I like parishes maintaining authority.
CA No. 2 - No
Too broad. Some of it I like, some I don't.
CA No. 3 - Yes
"Children" committing murder is becoming too common.
CA No. 4 - Yes
No urgent matter to spend money on a special election to fill a judge with an elected official. Just wait until the regular elections to fill.

The last three words in the proposed No. 2 amendment is a red flag.
The lawyers who prepared the proposed No. 2 amendment changes did just as the federal government does with bills…
NO

LABI also makes recommendations and they are slightly different that CABL’s. Will at LABI spoke in support of amendment 1 whereas CABL is opposed.
PAR economist spoke at rotary where I live and explained amendment 2 in detail with stats. Shows how it took all of the items in the amendment to make the numbers work and achieve the removal of the tax BS in article 7 that makes LA uncompetitive. Not everything but a good start for once.

I’m voting no
Reading the PAR Guide it wipes out the list to start over
I don’t trust that 16 crimes plus more would be added back into law
Not that it matters when DA’s make deals & judges release murderers & rapists everyday

I’m voting “Yes” on 2. It’s a good start to fixing this States backward arse anti-business bias in our tax structure.

A text I received in opposition:
I see one of their posts for insurance reform says “subsidize insurance premiums to bring rates down”. Milton Friedman they are not.

Hi baw, I'm Amy, a volunteer at #PutHousingFirst. LA lawmakers are trying to pull a fast one using smoke & mirrors to pass 4 amendments to our State Constitution to help their political friends, gut critical funding, send kids to adult prisons and rig judicial elections. Will you be a voter tomorrow (Saturday) and make a plan to vote No on all 4 amendments? Type STOP to Unsubscribe

The current list is kept
It allows them to change it with a 2/3
So it would take a 2/3 to take something off the list or a 2/3 to add something to the list
Currently, you have to amend the constitution to change the list
