After seeing a clip of one of the dwarves speaking, I think this movie has a lot more problems that just politics and bad acting. That's some 2008 video game level cgi

I just hope that this is the end of live-action remakes of classic stories.
They’re always terrible compared to the original. Nothing signals “we have no ideas, imagination or talent” more than doing movies like these IMO.
Or business sense for that matter…didn’t they spend like $300MM to make this?

Some of them have been pretty good to really good. Some have not.

It’s very catchy. They did 3 or 4 with comments on the trailer. They are pretty funny.
