You’ll soon be able to pay for your next delivered DoorDash meal in installments. The payment company Klarna is partnering with the delivery service to offer “buy now, pay later” loans"
One of the most popular “buy now, pay later” methods is known as “pay in four. you pay one installment up front, and three more every two weeks
There’s no requirement for a buy now, pay later to assess whether you have an ability to repay the loan, “That may lead to consumers taking out unaffordable amounts of debt.”
someone who uses “buy now, pay later” for their order is financing “service fees, delivery fees, gratuity fees and any other service charges over a month’s time, and they’re just trying to get a $10 burrito for lunch
Lesson for the day: when you give people the ability to make bad choices, they will make bad choices.

Imagine being so poor and lazy you have to pay installments to have food delivered.

Hey DoorDash cares about the poor! They want to ensure that no one goes hungry! They are just being Good Samaritans!

"Yeah, this KFC Family Feast. *slaps bucket* she's gonna be mine in only 9 more payments. Got it at a good rate too. Only 23%."

If you’re a fan of The Big Short, the memes are pretty funny.

This sounds like something from the Bee or Onion.

you know what’s next right?
SNAP benefits for DoorDash and UberEats. Within 2-3 years, I’d bet taxpayers will be funding for government leaches to have food delivered to their doorstep.

I mean if you’re using a credit card for a meal, you’re not really paying for it until the statement become due. But, I agree with the sentiment.
