Just witnessed an attempted mallard rape (possibly successful).

Walking the dog when I hear a duck going nuts. Turns out this guys old lady is being hardcore assaulted by another male. I don’t know duck body language enough to know if she was into it but I know 100% this poor guy wasn’t having it.
Without arms all he really could do was chest bump the other guy and try to get in between them.
I felt like maybe I should do something but then I figured nature was doing its thing and I wasn’t sure if maybe she wanted it anyway.

Ducks are brutal in mating season. Damn near drown hens and gang rape is very common.
