The Baton Rouge Sports Media Guys that continue to be sucked into the "LSU JUST NEEDS MONEY FOR NIL TO BE COMPETITVE" is downright laughable.
Scott Woodward is buying time to can Matt McMahon. That's 1000x percent the only reason McMahon is still coaching in BR.

Hunt is pretty open that he isnt gonna get on the air and openly campaign to fire the coach. They wont do that, not to jeopardize their relationship with lsu.

I think it is a fact that LSU will spend more on their basketball roster next year. Will that be enough to save McMahon? Probably not

I'm actually fine with sacrificing next season assuming Scott is getting something in the 4-5 mil/yr range for coach's salary and $2-3 mil for NIL. Take the year to go shop for the money.
Then go get someone who's a guaranteed winner. If we're gonna eat shite in bball one more year, then we better be competing for NC's soon.
It's time to win a national championship in men's basketball. Take the year to grow the farm. But win. Or else I'm more than ready to fire Scott Woodward.

palmer says that as long as he cashes a check from LSU he will not call for a coach to be fired.
but he is also very realistic and correctly predicted the 3 win season. he is very credible and knows basketball very well.
if hunt thinks it's possible they could being in real talent with more cash and improve, I believe him. I don't think he is a MM shill at all.
