TL;DR:

On March 7, 1965, during "Bloody Sunday" in Selma, Alabama, 600 peaceful civil rights marchers were violently attacked by law enforcement with tear gas and batons. The shocking brutality, widely televised, spurred national outrage. A few days later, on “Face the Nation,” Alabama Governor George Wallace was interviewed and defended the state's actions, blaming the marchers and denying wrongdoing by state troopers. His comments revealed his deep resistance to the civil rights movement and helped galvanize public support for federal voting rights legislation, leading to the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

What Grok says. I don't fully agree but there you go.

George Wallace was a racist but even worse, he would side with whichever way the winds were blowing. He’s in hell now so we can dig him up and kill him again. Along with that fat drug addicted pedophile Rush Limbaugh.

Things were different back in 1965. Where I was in East texas, blacks sit in the balcony at the theater. When the county fair came to town, there was 1 night for blacks. The other nights were white only. City swimming pools were white only.. That's just the way it was.

Idiotic slander by you progressive scumbags is all you have. It’s very obvious that you’re already having a very tough time adjusting to our country being corrected. It’s not going to change anytime soon so you might as well get used to it, boy.

I remember Wallace being term limited so his wife ran and she won. I visited Selma around 1980 and you could see the white flight starting. Today it's 90% black and a mess.
Another memory of that period was forced de-segregation of schools and busing kids to achieve it. It happened in the South first. La. forced busing was around 1967. About 5 years later it hit the North and Boston had more violence than we had in the South.
Edit: Another difference in the world back in 1965...The LSU quarterbacks threw a total of 130 passes that year and completed 73.

Wallace was a Democrat like you. Democrats are the only racists (antisemites) left in our world today.

Link?

If you would have stuck with your first comment, you would have 100+ up votes, but you just couldn't help yourself. You may not like Rush, but a pedophile?? You could have claimed a thousand grey area issues, but you chose pedophilia.

Congrats on outting yourself as an unhinged leftist loon.
