Looking for some guidance on a good hotel/Airbnb near the Vanderbilt hospital within walking distance. Uncle had a stroke a few weeks ago, went to rehab a few days ago, and was just rushed back to Vanderbilt this morning for emergency surgery. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated. Family may need to fly there tomorrow or Monday so I'll be busy with the flight booking, but no clue about the area near Vandy. Thanks all

I stayed last year at the home 2 suites there off division street.

Easily walkable and close to everything

Plus I like hone2suites as the rooms are bigger and a full fridge and more amenities than a standard box hotel room

They have valet parking and I would stay there again if I was in the area

Damn. Praying for a good recovery.

That area's generally pretty expensive, just like all of downtown.

Literally across the street though...

Kimpton Aertson Hotel

Couple of blocks away near Music Row...

Motif

Across the street on West End..

Loews

Marriott has several of their properties in the area...

The Moxy is in the Hillsborough Village area. Lots of bars, restaurants, shops. Maybe 2-3 blocks from the Medical Center.

The motif hotel you linked is $123/night for 3 nights, there's also a 2 bedroom suite for $169 which would be great for multiple family members to come and go as needed. Greatly appreciated

Thanks Otis. Awaiting status from family members but the stroke resulted in right side paralysis and surgery for a permanent feeding tube. He's currently back in the Neuro ICU, apparently the clot from the stroke at the base of his brain stem was not fixed completely after the first surgery

Prayers for your uncle and whole family. He should be in good hands. Rehab can do a whole lot for the effects of stroke and help in dealing with it. Stallworth is good for rehab.

There are several Air B N Bs on 21st street within walking distance from Vandy Hospital. You can walk to all the places to eat on 21st street. It’s walking distance to Belmont college if you want a nice place to walk around. Very nice Indian restaurant up on hill, 1.5miles to the Kroger etc.

I stay often at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University. It’s on the corner West End and Natchez Trace. Easily walkable to all things Vanderbilt, nice gym in the 2nd floor and really good M Club on the 1st floor for free breakfast, drinks, etc…

Sorry to hear about your uncle. Wife and girl friends stayed at Graduate a couple of weeks ago. Said it was nice.
